Chemistry is considered one of the most important basic and pivotal sciences because of its link and impact on all sciences, as it overlaps with many different basic and applied sciences such as biology, physics, medical and engineering disciplines, in addition to its main role and impact in our daily lives. The Department of Chemistry has taken upon itself, since the moment of its establishment, to provide knowledge and training in all fields of chemistry, as the Department of Chemistry is distinguished by the presence of a distinguished elite of faculty members who possess research capacity and scientific excellence, which have contributed to serving the community and graduating a generation capable of enriching knowledge and supporting the nation’s economy in the coming days. Based on the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, which aims to develop a knowledge economy based on innovation and support scientific research, it has become necessary for the scientific disciplines to contribute to the realization of the Kingdom’s vision in various fields, including the Department of Chemistry, which is one of the leading departments in the College of Science and Human Studies at Prince University Sattam bin Abdulaziz with its scientifically qualified members to contribute to the development and development of knowledge, community service and increase scientific publication in various chemical researches in specialized international scientific journals and their quality. All members of the department, male and female, and faculty members are also keen on the need for active participation and mutual and continuous cooperation to bring the department to the highest levels at the level of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. The department constantly strives to improve the educational process, modernize laboratories and supply them with the latest modern scientific equipment, which contributes to blending the educational process with the latest findings of science in the field of chemistry and scientific research. The path of developing study plans for the undergraduate stage and opening new paths and plans for the postgraduate stage with the aim of preparing and graduating qualified and distinguished cadres to meet the needs of the labor market in various academic, educational, industrial and research aspects. In conclusion, I ask God that we succeed in overcoming difficulties and contribute to increasing educational attainment and achieving the department’s goals, to attain advanced ranks at the local and global levels.
