The Physics Department is a vital scientific department that plays a significant role in supporting university education, developing scientific research, and serving the community. The Physics Department boasts a distinguished faculty of highly qualified and experienced members in various physics disciplines and strives to provide a stimulating educational and research environment for students and researchers.
The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Physics program, in addition to a Master of Science in Materials Science program, which aims to develop advanced national talent capable of contributing to research, development, and industry, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Faculty members are involved in diverse research projects in the fields of nanotechnology, renewable energy, theoretical and applied physics, and advanced materials properties. The department is also committed to integrating scientific research into university education.
The department continuously seeks to build academic and research partnerships with local and international institutions, enhancing its contribution to knowledge production and developing scientific solutions to contemporary challenges.
The department places great emphasis on preparing students academically and practically, and developing their analytical and applied skills, in line with the demands of the labor market and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
