Chairman’s Message

<p style="line-height: 20px; font-size: 13px;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman", times, serif;">The Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science of Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University is one of the oldest and major department of the University having around 35 Teaching Staff Members from International Community having an Outstanding Track record of Teaching and Research.<br>The Department at present offers Bachelor Degree Program in Mathematics, including various branches of Mathematics in its core and elective courses.&nbsp; With a humble beginning of around 45 students enrolled in the Program in the year 1426H (2007-2008), it has around&nbsp; 300 students enrolled in the Program at present&nbsp;</span></p><p style="line-height: 20px; font-size: 13px;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman", times, serif;">The courses taught in the Programme are comparable to international standards and as a result, the department has a record number of Aluminise enrolled in Higher Education Programs in Universities of International Repute both in the Kingdom as well as in other parts of the world.</span></p><p style="line-height: 20px; font-size: 13px;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman", times, serif;">The Department encourages the faculty members to involve in Academic Research and through the vast research expertise of the faculty members in almost every branch of mathematics, the research findings are reported periodically in various referred, indexed, and International Journals.&nbsp; The Teaching Staff are also encouraged to participate in Workshops and Conferences periodically, apart from organising Seminars within the Department.</span></p><p style="line-height: 20px; font-size: 13px;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman", times, serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Department also shares the responsibility of other programmes (Departments and Colleges) of the University in providing quality education to the students enrolled, by teaching Mathematics Courses as per the requirement of the programmes apart from assisting the Faculty of Science (Girls Wing) to conduct the B.Sc Degree Program in Mathematics.</span></p><p style="line-height: 20px; font-size: 13px;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman", times, serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In order to effectively achieve the Mission and Goals of the Program and of the Department, various Committees such as Academic Accreditation Committee, Quality and Development Committee, Academic Advisory Committee, Time Table Committee, Research and Development Committee etc., have been constituted to complete all the task in time bound manner.&nbsp; All staff is involved actively in one or more committees and action is being taken for getting the Program accredited by appropriate Agency.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p><p style="line-height: 20px; font-size: 13px;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman", times, serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It is also worth mentioning that adequate state of the art teaching and research facilities are provided by the College and Department such as smart boards, exclusive office rooms with internet facilities for staff and computer laboratory for students.
