Academic Advisory
- Academic Advisory plays a significant role in guiding students to communicate with their teachers and their classmates. The Academic Advisory Committee organizes a number of activities to help students’ progress smoothly. The committee also addresses to the complaints and grievances of students and suggest appropriate solutions
- The Committee facilitates all instructors to conduct counseling sessions, at least two in each semester, to advise students on matters related to add/ delete courses, selection of appropriate courses as per their GPA and credit hours
- The Committee also organizes workshops for students to increase their interactive skills, to strengthen the relations of understanding and trust between the student and academic advisor, to empower students’ academic and social communication skills; and to increase their familiarity with the rules of the academic system.
- The Committee also sensitize students to the needs of the labor market and the skills needed besides their certificates of study. It encourages talented students to get involved in extra-curricular activities and those who excelled academically to build up their academics to suit the needs of the labor market
- The Program has set up “Writing Help Desk” to provide help for all the students with their academic assignments. The Club of English Language and Literature organizes and manages students’ extracurricular activities.
- The Department of English Language and Literature supports the academic advising initiatives provided by Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
