Since its inception, the Department of Mathematics has been moving with strong and balanced steps to direct students towards applying Logical methods with correct concepts, honing their skills, and teaching them appropriately. This continuous effort has been made possible by the constellation of faculty members specializing in a wide range of mathematical fields. The department also plays an important role in scientific research, and it contributes to the dissemination of sound research findings through the publication of peer-reviewed articles in prestigious international journals and participation in international conferences. Bachelor's and master's degree programs in mathematics (both thesis- and non-thesis based) are offered by the department to prepare students for participation in doctoral programs offered by institutions at the national and international levels.
We have received full international accreditation from ASIIN Germany for our Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program. We are currently in the progress of obtaining accreditation from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment at the national level to ensure quality in the educational process. The department also shoulders the responsibility of program delivery for programs offered both at the faculty and university levels by providing mathematics courses to students enrolled in those programs in addition to the ones offered by this department. In collaboration with other college departments, the department strives to implement and fulfil the strategic objectives of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, which is to become a world-class university in education and research via collaboration with the community.
