Committee’s Tasks

Spreading the culture of quality in the department
Reviewing course files (Portfolios)
Reviewing the updated files of community service, scientific research, and graduates, and ensuring that any new activities are added
Preparing the program report for the first and second semester/annual (Annual Program Report) in the “Male and Female Students” sub-section
Updating the self-evaluation scales for the program in the two branches of the department
Updating the self-study report for programs (SSRP) in the department’s two branches
Preparing and processing the academic accreditation files for the program
Follow up on the latest publications of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation
Communicate with accreditation bodies approved by the university
Coordinating the meetings of the accreditation team with faculty members and students in the department

Study Plan, Schedules and Examinations Committee

Committee’s Tasks

 

Preparing a proposal for study plans for the department's programs in coordination with the members of the department council
Work on preparing study schedules; to be delivered in a timely manner
Review the teaching load of faculty members
Updating the study schedules committee’s file periodically to suit the department’s needs
Distributing the department's courses to the designated halls

Regarding the examination committee

Preparing the final exam schedule
  Ensure that classrooms are equipped in terms of: chairs, lighting, and air conditioning
Distribution of halls and observation rooms in the final exam schedule
Follow up on the progress of final exams, including
Follow up on the attendance of observers at tests, and provide an alternative in emergency cases
Receiving questions and student lists from the course instructors, and handing them over to the committees
Receiving answer sheets and signatures from the examination committees, and delivering them to the course professor
Submit a daily report on the progress of final exams
Identifying disadvantaged students and following up on names; To ensure that the student does not enter the subject test while he is deprived
Arranging the halls according to the number of students in the course
Submitting student cases (requesting an alternative test - cases of cheating, etc.) to the relevant committees
  Preparing the final examination report

Raising awareness of the importance of academic guidance for the department’s program
Emphasis on the concept of academic advising and the role of the academic advisor in guiding students to plan for their educational future
Following up the preparation of questionnaires necessary for academic accreditation in relation to academic advising, distributing and collecting them, analyzing their results, and providing advice to all students accordingly
Deepening trust between students and faculty members

Committee’s Tasks

Holding periodic meetings with the concerned authorities to develop time plans for developing equipment and laboratories to achieve the objectives of this committee
  Survey and evaluate the current status of all devices and laboratories and schedule the start of development operations
Ensure the availability of all laboratory equipment and student services for all programs offered by the department
Ensuring the availability of plans for maintaining student equipment and services
Submitting a periodic report to the department head at the end of each year to do the necessary work on a proposal
Supervising the availability of guidelines for security and safety procedures in laboratories and classrooms
Spreading awareness and preparing guidance publications on security and safety procedures for various risks and distributing them to students at the beginning of the academic year
Preparing questionnaires to measure the satisfaction of beneficiaries of devices and laboratories
Discussing the initial results with the Quality Committee and presenting proposals and solutions
Recommending the request for the necessary software, hardware, and accessories for each laboratory in accordance with the specialization of the subjects being taught
Coordinating with the competent authorities regarding technical support for devices

Coordination with the graduate unit at the college and university
Showcasing the success stories of some female graduates in various fields
Organizing the annual alumni forum
Create a page for male and female alumni on the department and college website so that the graduate can register his data and communicate with the department
Announcing innovative and distinguished graduate programs that serve the community and the university
Coordinating with the college administration to secure field training opportunities for department students
Proposing the formation of a committee to evaluate the student’s final report and approve it by the Department Council
Follow up on the training locations through the student’s academic supervisor so that the student can
Linking the theoretical and practical aspects
Developing his scientific skills in the field of specialization
Deepening the student's work ethics and behavior during the training period through discipline, punctuality, responsibility and teamwork
It enables the student to demonstrate his scientific and practical abilities, which may allow him the possibility of employment in the training entity or being nominated to work in another entity
Enabling the student to develop himself by analyzing his strengths and weaknesses during the training period

Monitoring research projects within the department for different fields
Preparing a research plan that captures the research interests of faculty members in the department, in coordination with the college
  Activating and encouraging scientific research programs and policies in the department
Encouraging scientific research that keeps pace with the needs of the labor market, and opening channels of communication with parties wishing to benefit from the research services of faculty members
Working to raise the research skills of department employees through specialized courses and lectures
Searching for postgraduate programs that meet the needs of Vision (2030) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Activating the research partnership between members of the department, the college, and other colleges inside and outside the university
Preparing and following up on the department’s scholarship file
Follow up on the department’s graduate program files
Receiving project proposals from faculty members and approving them before the beginning of the semester
Establishing a clear mechanism for distributing students to graduation projects and implementing in accordance with the executive rules for graduation projects approved by the University Vice Presidency for Educational and Academic Affairs
Create a database containing the projects, their supervisors, student names, and other necessary information
Work to create a topic bank containing faculty members’ proposals for use in graduation projects, taking into account that they are applied projects that serve the university and society
Receiving proposals for research seminars, arranging their implementation schedule each academic year, and approving them from the department head

Forming a student team to educate about the importance of activities (Student Advisory Council)
Develop a proposed plan for community service
Strengthening the department’s relationship with the external community, identifying its needs, and working to meet them
Encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit among faculty members and the like, and female students to participate in community service
Follow up on program implementation and write reports
Evaluating community service programs and working to develop them
Documenting all department work
Publicizing the department’s work through all social media outlets, the department and college website, and the university newspaper
Writing the annual report on the department’s activities

Committee’s Tasks

Reviewing all department publications before printing them, and ensuring that their contents are correct linguistically and otherwise. So that nothing bearing the name of the department will be published unless it is approved by this committee
Faculty members and department committees must provide the committee with the material to be published in sufficient time for review, and identify a reviewer who coordinates with the committee’s secretariat on an ongoing basis
Follow up on providing information bases and preparing statistics and data for the department
Follow up on the websites of teaching members in the department
Monitor the department’s website and update all activities on an ongoing basis
Conducting studies on the current status of the library (number of books - number of recent references - specializations - identifying needs)
Providing databases for books and references in departmental plans and following up with the university’s central library to provide them
