The Department of Physics is one of the vital scientific departments that plays a significant role in supporting higher education, advancing scientific research, and serving the community. The department comprises a distinguished group of faculty members with high competence and expertise across various fields of physics, and it strives to provide a stimulating educational and research environment for students and researchers alike.
The Physics department offers a Bachelor’s program in Physics, in addition to a Master’s program in Materials Science. These programs aim to prepare highly qualified national professionals capable of contributing to research, development, and industry in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Faculty members are actively engaged in a wide range of research projects in fields such as Nanoscience, Renewable energy, Theoretical and Applied physics, and the properties of advanced materials. The Physics department is committed to integrating scientific research with university-level education.
The Physics department continuously works toward building academic and research partnerships with local and international institutions, enhancing its contribution to knowledge production, and developing scientific solutions to contemporary challenges.
We place great importance on equipping our students with strong scientific and practical foundations, as well as fostering their analytical and applied skills to meet the needs of the labor market and the aspirations of Vision 2030.
